Michael Jackson says ranch foreclosure averted

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Entertainer Michael Jackson said on Sunday that a foreclosure sale on his Neverland Ranch property in California has been canceled by Colony Capital LLC, which acquired the loan on the ranch from Fortress Investment Group and is negotiating a deal.

Jackson said in a press release that he was "in discussions" over the ranch with Colony and was "pleased with recent developments."

A spokesman for Jackson declined to provide further details.

Lionel Richie Talks Of Commodores Reunion

Lionel Richie [ tickets ] recently said he and The Commodores [ tickets ] will soon reunite for a tour, according to published reports. Richie, who left the Commodores in the late 1970s, said it was important for the group to get together before it loses more band members; lead guitarist Milan Williams died two years ago. The 58-year-old singer reportedly is confident synergy still exists between band members; Commodores' bass player Ronald La Pread joined Richie on stage during his last tour and played some of the group's old hits, such as "Three Times a Lady," and "Brick House."

Wiggles concert excites

Hundreds of excited young music fans, some dressed in their best skivvies, have had the chance to see The Wiggles in a one-off concert in Sydney. The show, which also included guest musicians Jimmy Barnes - dressed in an honorary black skivvy - Damien Leith, Shannon Noll, Kate Ceberano and Leo Sayer, raised $110,000 for Unicef.
